Hotel Clover (Surf Hotel) Patong | PHUKET – THAILAND

A new, hip and convenient surf-themed active hotel right next to Phuket Surf House on Patong beach.

Located in the nice (yes, nice) area of Patong, Clover Hotel Patong (formally known as Surf Hotel Patong) is a new, hip and urban hotel targeting young(ish), cosmopolitan and active travellers with passion for surfing. The hotel is attached to Phuket Surf House–a highly popular indoor surf bar with a stylish bistro and a ROXY & Quiksilver store.

The hotel is rather basic and offers pretty everything a traveller needs. We got a superior balcony room. It wasn’t large, but it was very clean, bright and quite airy. After all, we spent most of our time outside, and we both feel this was a very comfortable and convenient place to return to after a long day.

Power point sockets fit the majority of plugs from different countries, so you won’t really need to worry about not having an adapter. Oh, and you can also charge directly via USB cables!

Clover Hotel’s theme is pretty much everything surfing and sailing-related.

Never stop thinking about surfing. Not even at breakfast.

Wooden fins coat/bag hangers in our room.

You can easily stay active while staying at this hotel. There is an awesome 2-edge infinity pool and fitness on the 5th floor, as well as an “ACTIVE BAR” on the ground floor.

The rooftop pool is surprisingly nice, and yes there is a bar right next to it. We reckon this would be an amazing spot to watch the sunset!

If drinking at this bar makes us fit and healthy, we would be here all the time…but we aren’t really sure about this.

The coolest of all is the Surf House, which fortunately is right in front of the hotel.

If you have a spare hour or two, we highly recommend you give it a go here. We love surfing in the ocean, but indoor surfing is something different and is really fun to try! It’s suitable for both children and adults, and there are instructors to help you out. You can see from our faces how much we enjoyed.

All in all, this is a great place for a quick stay in a perfect location. There are tons of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants a few steps away (FamilyMart 24-7 convenient store, THE COFFEE CLUB, etc.), but the hotel itself is tucked away on a small private road. You’re pretty much guaranteed a good night’s sleep!
