Family friendly, crazy fun and completely unique…. Flying Trapeze and aerial arts have become increasingly popular in North America, Europe and Australia over the past decade.
Here in Phuket you too can have a try at Mid Air Circus Arts’ stunning Academy on the campus of the spectacular British International School.
They have a massive after school program that is well attended by children across Phuket, but also offer exclusive training opportunities to anyone passing through. the paradise that is Phuket!
There are group lessons available for Flying Trapeze as well as Aerial lessons, and if you have a group or perhaps just want to take it more seriously you can even arrange your very own exclusive lessons.
Children from as young as 4 years old are regular students in their trapeze lessons, and they have also had an 80 year old Grandma join lessons… No excuses on age! They have also welcomed many people over the years with a fear of heights and the MACA crew claim to have helped them all conquer this fear to at least some degree… Another excuse not accepted… haha.

Lessons start with some stretching then some practice of your position on a low bar, then a thorough explanation of the safety systems and tips for success and you are on your way up the ladder for a once in a lifetime experience that will not only amaze your friends, you may even surprise yourself at what you are able to accomplish!
Bookings are essential, and the lessons follow the School term as far as holidays etc go, so make sure you contact the team in advance.
OUR TIPS
- Wear loose clothing, especially lower half. No tight jeans.Β Ease of movement is critical.Β Leggings are perfect!
- If you are a group of 4 or more organise an exclusive lesson.Β The cost is the same and you can have the place to yourself!
- No partying the night before, you will be wanting to be in decent condition!!! =)
- LISTEN to the instructions of the Instructors after each swing.Β Timing and technique are key to success.Β If you can get your position perfected you may even be able to do a CATCH!Β So pay attention carefully to what you need to do to improve each swing.
