Phuket Surf Series 2018 Competition PLUS Khao Lak

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is hosting the Phuket Surf Series 2018 PLUS Khao Lak in collaboration with Surfing Thailand and the Phuket Surfing Club. This surfing competition will take place from June to October this year on Patong, Kamala, Kalim, Surin beaches in Phuket and Pakarang beach in Khaolak.

Mrs. Kanallottika Kritwutikon, Director of the TAT, Phuket office, explains that the TAT is giving full support for Phuket Surf Series. The event aims to encourage surfers to visit Phuket during the Andaman’s “Green season” and also to drive more Thai nationals to get involved.

“Currently there are approximately 300 Thai and International surfers based in Phuket and Phang Nga, but the surf tourism market is really growing. We really hope Phuket will soon be known as one of Asia’s top surf destinations,” says the President of Surfing Thailand Mr. Chanin Ayarak.
