Baby & Kids Best Buy – Thailand’s Largest Mother & Child Expo – All You need to know!

If you are expecting a wee sprog (like we are.. Woohoo!) or already have kids under the age of 12 years of age… Then get on your bike to Impact Arena asap…

You have just a few more days to get amongst the baby chaos of Bangkok’s Baby & Kid Best Buy Expo – Thailand’s largest Mother & Child Trade Fair. A yearly event since 2006 it has grown and grown each year and represents the single best event in Thailand for young and prospective families to check out all the essentials for pregnancy, birth and young child rearing under the one roof.

This expo is well known to local Thai families in Bangkok. But there are VERY few farang that actually seem to be aware of it.

This year 2020 it runs from 30th July until 2nd of August 10am – 8pm at Challengers Hall at Impact Arena, Chaengwattana. (See Google Maps Link: HERE)

TIPS FOR A GREAT ‘BABY BEST BUY’ EXPERIENCE

  • Register online beforehand to make getting in a little easier. You will get a QR Code that should make getting through the queues just a wee bit easier. Head to their website (also with Japanese & English Language Options): www.babybbb.com
Baby & Kids Best Buy Website

  • If there is a pregnant person in your party, get there EARLY (No later than 10am would be advisable) and you can hire (for free, just with ID Deposit) a wheelchair to make the day easier. It’s a looooooong day and you will rack up some kilometres with all the walking around. A wheelchair is a must for that special lady ‘walking for 2’. The counter is between Entrance 2 and 3 of Challenger hall.

Also available: Strollers and Shopping Carts!

  • They have Kerry Express there for any deliveries of purchases you cannot take with you. So no stress if you end up buying too much for your Honda Civic (or if you are going by public transport).
  • Check out our photo list of recommended products as well as public transport options at the bottom of this article.

  • If you have racked up a ton of purchases there is a FREE purchases Bag Drop service near the escalators outside the main hall. This way you can shop hands free in stages, or relax at lunch without dragging trolleys everywhere.

  • If you are rocking the expo with young ones you will be overjoyed to know there are 2 breast-feeding rooms and 2 diaper changing rooms next to each other. These rooms are on the FAR RIGHT side as you walk inside the MAIN HALL.
  • There is a large foodhall located outside the main exhibition hall with plenty of food options. Most main stations use a Cash Card, but a few smaller places take Cash.
  • There are tons of toilets… So that’s good.
  • If you are buying several items from one stall do not be scared to push for an even better price. We are in Thailand after all.
  • Try to get there on a WEEKDAY! (Too late.. sorry!) BUT remember for next year! It is far less busy!
